Riverside Housing Group – DDA Works
Overview
Redford Court in Liverpool is a purpose built home for 24 residents with acquired/traumatic brain injury. The building consists of 20 large self-contained studio apartments, and self-contained flats.
Frank Rogers where contracted to renew 24 wet rooms and carry out DDA works to each apartment, alongside communal DDA works and replacement of communal shower rooms.
Works were completed in a tight timescale of 12 weeks, with minimal disruption, and only allowing for two rooms to be opened at once. No more than four operatives at any one time where allowed in the building and access to properties was allowed between 9.30am and 4pm only. All doors were to be locked away when not in use, and all properties to be continually locked whilst work in progress, as some tenants had violent temperaments.
All of these factors created their own challenges and the site team had to be careful to work within the client guidelines and parameters which they managed successfully.
The project was handed over on time and within budget, with 100% satisfaction from client and scheme manager.
